I got a cat. His name is Macaroni, but I call him Mac for short. He is a black and white, domestic shorthair. At 3 years old and 11 pounds, he is still one cuddly boy. He loves to be pet, held, and given as much attention as possible. Mac is also pretty vocal, so I constantly hear him meowing as he meanders about the apartment.
I missed have a four-legged fur-ball running around my house, so having him makes the apartment feel like it’s really home.
Of course, this also means telling you guys I got a new apartment. Gone is my 13th St location and I’m now situated on Capitol Ave. It’s a great new place with lots of natural light, hardwood floors, and cozy bedrooms. A little nook in the corner right off the stairwell serves as my new office. We only have two rooms now, but everything feels better laid out and more homey. Plus we get parking! Everyone agrees that it is a much better place than the one we had before.
Still working on my current job. Not much has changed there, though I am hoping to move up. The flexibility of the job is second to none, despite me not loving the industry. Hey, sometimes you gotta accept what you have and move on. I’m still pretty young.
Since I’m young and have a lot of free time–I end work at 2:30pm–I have decided to try and pursue more writing, music, and (hopefully) photography. I keep up with my coding skills at my job, hoping to help automate some processes and create tools for people to use.
I’m actually looking forward to the rest of 2023. I hope it is a good year. Talk to you soon.
Goodbye for now.
